Dubai Airport

Waiting for connecting flight to take us to Athens. Only a 3 and a half hour wait, so not really long enough to do anything substantial, just slob about (and update blog). Discovered a massage service not long before boarding near gate 112 that we might investigate on longer stop back home (have 6 hours to kill then). Either that or we can fork out for the business lounge, or even a hotel room (they charge by the hour - very classy, but appropriate for airport hotel!)

Had interesting flight here. Left 20 minutes late because some passengers had been detained by security and so their luggage had to be taken off the plane. Then a few hours in, there was an announcement that if there was a doctor of medicine on board could they make themselves known to the crew. Don't know any details of either situation, which kind of makes the story boring and pointless.

Inflight entertainment was a huge fav. A seeming endless array of films to choose from - the latest releases to the golden oldies and all the TV series in between. Could only handle 2 films before fatigue took over and we took some 'Dozil' to help it along. Slept on and off for about 7-8 hours. Not bad. Watched 'My Life in Ruins' to get psyched for Greece. Very excited about all the ancient stuff!

Apologies for the photo fans - none as yet, but there will be some soon. Promise.

  2. I'm glad you could see the inflight movies-when we went to Hong Kong they were all night movies so you couldn't see the action LOL!
As for the IS there a doctor in the house call....hmmm as long as you didn't see someone shrouded in as sheet all should be well. I always pray there is one on board just in case the ol heart decides to chuck a wobbly....oh and as for no photos I DO feel a few from inside the airport showing your boredom would have been appropriate.
